Food Technologist

 

Job Overview:

As a Food Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products while driving innovation and continuous improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to enhance our product offerings and maintain compliance with industry standards.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will act as the technical expert within the Food Team.
  • Identify, develop, and specify food products to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with multiple suppliers to ensure product compliance with Food Quality Standards.
  • Liaise with food suppliers to identify common commercial food products.
  • Drive product innovation
  • Ensure pricing aligns with contractual obligations by coordinating with the Commercial team.
  • Organize and oversee food selection panels and range reviews with suppliers and customers.
  • Support strategic supplier negotiations and participate in supplier reviews.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in Food Science and Technology.
  • Prior experience in product development is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership in food selection panels.
  • Skill in developing balanced menus and nutritional requirements within commercial constraints.
  • Proficiency in understanding the end-to-end supply chain process.
