Job Overview:
As a Food Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products while driving innovation and continuous improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to enhance our product offerings and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- You will act as the technical expert within the Food Team.
- Identify, develop, and specify food products to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with multiple suppliers to ensure product compliance with Food Quality Standards.
- Liaise with food suppliers to identify common commercial food products.
- Drive product innovation
- Ensure pricing aligns with contractual obligations by coordinating with the Commercial team.
- Organize and oversee food selection panels and range reviews with suppliers and customers.
- Support strategic supplier negotiations and participate in supplier reviews.
Qualifications and Skills:
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Food Science and Technology.
- Prior experience in product development is advantageous.
- Strong leadership in food selection panels.
- Skill in developing balanced menus and nutritional requirements within commercial constraints.
- Proficiency in understanding the end-to-end supply chain process.
